It would all just help further the game so much in great ways that would as suggested help to boost sales for both partnered VRs & for the game as a featured title. That with some kind of 'creature tags' thing individuals you interact with more come to ''remember you'' for how you do so if feed them routinely or do things of some kind for them, and in turn don't keep bugging you if you've had to show em you are the boss, eh. by Blackgaze Reminder: Subnautica has VR Support. You can use Bluetooth 3.0 class 2 gamepads with your Meta Quest 2 or Meta Quest by connecting it to your headset using the Meta Quest mobile app. and yes i have tried VR which is why i have the opinion i do. because being able to turn my head and nothing else (no actual swimming, no climbing, no feeling anything in my hand) is not even half the experience and id rather experience all of it or none of it. But since Subnautica is already a featured game on Steam VR and lots of people see it, I feel perhaps it would be a really nice thing to do to make it full VR supported. However, using a mouse in VR is not ideal. As mentioned in the title, motion controllers will not working for this game at all (even Vive controls which partly work). OK thats got the VR setup, but you need controls. VR is perfect for this game since VR can be mostly an isolating. It probably would be quite a bit of work to make it fully support VR with touch control (currently we have quite a few bugs on VR). Please try and boot Subnautica from your Steam Library and not ingame VR, since when I did this it did not load the VR Enhancements mod. Have fun because these 2 fixes will open up a really fun experience. STAND in your play space and turn your body (NOT the joystick). In the options you enable 'Gaze Based Cursor/Gaze select'. Same for such making all more sapient creatures in the game able to be tamed to some level, But there are a couple things you need to do to stop/reduce motion sickness. *cannot be the only one who has a fondness for those above said stalker creatures that if could would totally while feeding and teeth collecting like to "pet" and give belly scratches/rubs when let to or such, lolz. Or again to hold onto things when trying to scan something smaller or larger or the likes,Īnd doing specific things with more docile creatures you've well tamed over time with fish or such. Keypads in particular are completely unusable because theres not even a hover state when youre over the buttons. In VR the cursor is off like this in many places in the game (scanner room controls, keypads.), I really wish they would fix this. (like who wouldn't want to be more directly able to 'play catch' using cameras with Stalkers? eh) You CAN turn it on in VR, but you have to look much higher and to the left of the actual button. Such we have and keep use of 'primary' control features with key buttons and the duel sticks to help with the camera + movement and tool selection, it would be SO AMAZING to have more direct contact with both the environment and the things in it.
